Children try out being palaeontologists during a ROAR-some week; pupils took part in a dinosaur workshop and visited West Midlands Safari Park
Year 1 children had a ROAR-some week, taking part in a dinosaur workshop and visiting West Midlands Safari Park. During the workshop, the children gave being palaeontologists a go as they dug for fossils, identified preserved specimens, and assembled bones. Later in the week they had a field trip to the West Midlands Safari Park, where they learned all about different dinosaurs through time. The children went on a journey through the Land of the Living Dinosaurs and heard about how the how the carnivores and herbivores fought to survive on earth over 65 million years ago.
Vanessa Wardle, Principal said:
“The Year 1 children thoroughly enjoyed learning about dinosaurs this week and it was great to get them out and about and learning outside the classroom at the West Midlands Safari Park.”
