Pupils hear from former England footballer Tony Daley


Pegasus Primary School welcomed former professional footballer, Tony Daley to the school for a visit recently, during his visit to the school the children heard all about Tony’s career.


Tony was born in Birmingham and played football for England, Aston Villa, and Wolverhampton Wanderers.  Following his professional football career, Tony completed a degree in Sports and Exercise Science at Coventry University, he also remained at Forest Green Rovers as their fitness coach during this time and worked with youth players at Aston Villa’s academy.

“It was great to welcome Tony to the school, and I want to say a big thank you to him for visiting.  The children were completely engrossed in everything he said, and Rocco was so proud to get his Villa football shirt signed.  Tony was a truly inspiring visitor, and it was brilliant to hear all about his fantastic career and how hard work at school pays off.”
